Felix thought up the idea of Expedition Hope. He is a student and founder of the children’s initiative Plant-for-the-Planet. He has shaken hands with Kofi Annan, has given many interviews worldwide and has even spoken before the United Nations. All of that and he is just 16 years old. Felix is fighting for something big — to provide the children of the world with a cleaner future and to stop global warming. That is why Expedition Hope is so close to his heart.

Since its foundation in 2007, the children’s initiative Plant-for-the-Planet has stood firm against global warming and plants trees as a symbol for climate justice. The CO2 offset by planting trees helps mitigate the effects of global warming — and thereby unique ecosystems, such as the Arctic, can be protected. To this day, children and adults have planted over 12.9 billion new trees worldwide.
